Over 11 million Nigerian children are out of school, the largest globally. At the Destiny Trust, we put a face to this number; they are the children we encounter on the streets and disadvantaged communities. #1000HelpingHands is a campaign to support the education of at least 100 disadvantaged children every year by inviting 1000 People to give. If you make your number count, we can create a future for out-of-school children and for Nigeria.

Back2Basics is a literacy campaign to give children a chance to learn the basics of reading and writing in a fun and simple way. We appreciate that the most important step toward learning is acquiring the basic ability to read and write. The sad reality is that many children from disadvantaged communities lack this foundational ability even at upper primary school levels. To address this problem, we work to implement an accelerated and inclusive literacy programme with an initial capacity to teach over 1,000 children annually how to read and write. Reading and writing should be fun to children. We are making it so for them. We are also committed to providing resources, incentives and training for teachers toward improving literacy for children.
Kick for Love is our family day out and novelty football event to create awareness and support for this cause. We bring friends, families and celebrities together in a novelty match with rehabilitated street children.
We use this to celebrate the potential of the street child, show the change that can occur if we help them. We also get the opportunity to meet friends and partners who have been part of our work and share the ideas of what we can do better.
